What to Expect
The Chalver Museum is a small, intimate institution housed in a single-room exhibition space. Our collection focuses on reproductions, photographs, and research materials related to undeciphered scripts from around the world. Visitors can expect a quiet, academic atmosphere conducive to contemplation and study.
A typical visit lasts 30-60 minutes. Information panels accompany each exhibit, and printed materials are available for those interested in learning more about specific scripts or research topics.
Group Visits & Research Access
We welcome small groups and researchers interested in studying our collection. Due to space limitations, we ask that groups of more than 5 people contact us in advance to schedule a visit. Researchers wishing to access our archives should email Dr. Morrison at c.morrison@chalvermuseum.org to arrange an appointment.
Accessibility
The museum is located in a historical building with limited accessibility features. The entrance is at street level, but the exhibition space is compact. Please contact us in advance if you have specific accessibility needs, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Chalver Museum. If you have any questions about planning your visit, please don't hesitate to contact us.
